Hey all, Russell here from south west Florida. Got a Masterbuilt smoker (40") electric smoker from santa! Grew up in Texas so I want to try a brisket for my first attempt.

My first question is, my wife wants me to smoke her some salmon. I don't like salmon. Do I need to worry about the salmon smell/flavor lingering in my smoker?

Glad I found this site and will be here snooping around more than I should be!!

Welcome to the forum!

Glad to have you with us.

You may like salmon when it's smoked!

Try it with some Cajun seasoning.

Anyhow there will be no fish smell in your smoker after smoking some salmon.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a cloudy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great                   people with tons of information on just about everything.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Seasoning up the smoker tonight. As requested by manufacturers
Then it's on for Saturday's first attempt!
