I had a 58% 14 K gold Mickey Mouse Money Clip my daughter absolutely loved.
I bought it long ago and it was cheap-o by todays gold prices. Took the 20% off discount at the time.

I always wondered where I misplaced it. Vanished.
One day we were ordering food and the 14 year old daughter reached in her purse to pay for it and there it was clipped to a hand full of cash. A wad of 5's and 10s cabbage in her tiny little hand with peeling nail polish.

"Where did you get all that cash" the wife asked.
"Dad told me I can always find money in the pockets of his tux's and can have it all." Yep that's true.

Daughters knit wool sox and they are essential to fit in LL Bean Duck boots. Several pairs on to dial in the proper fit.
Son uses them too.
They borrow our Duck boots, never see them again. Wildly popular with girls.

Middle of the night light shines in our bedroom as the door slowly opens. Daughter opens my t shirt drawer,, lifts out 4 of my favorite shirts.
I'm 5' 11'' 210, daughters are 00 slender tiny as are their girlfriends and my T shirts become PJs for them.
I'll never see those shirts again.

Anyone lose their stuff to the kids?

My son started working on his own vehicle with me provifing guidance. Always used my tools as he didn't have any of his own. I always told him to put them back where he found them. I'd go out to work on our (me and the wife) vehicles and couldn't find half my tools. I'd ask him and he said he put the there. Never put them back where he found them.

He finally got his own place and I bought him a set of mechanic tools of his own. He still comes to the house as he has no place to work where he lives. He still uses my tools but doesn't put them back where he found them. Now he just tosses them in his vehicle for the next time he needs them. Yep, I still get mad when I can't find what I need.

I guess to make it up to me he leaves all of the broken parts, empty oil bottles, empty boxes, etc in the garage where I can find them. Thinking hard about disowning him lately.

That's why you should never "loan" kids or other relatives money. Give it if you got it then dont get pissed how its spent...try to forget you ever gave it!

Something my dad taught me very early-on. Never asked him for a dime, but he always stepped up at the important times because he knew it. Even when I was a kid, when he knew I was going somewhere with friends he would just slip me a 20.

Of course I was the kind of kid that WANTED to cut the grass and cut and split wood. Anything "adult"...I hated bieng a kid.

Good lord, that sounds like my daughter. She's the mechanically minded one in her family. Doofus husband doesn't know one end of a screwdriver from another.
Yeah, every time I needed a tool I'd search the entire garage, and finally have to call her and ask, "Hey, do you have my..." whatever. Then go over to her place and reclaim whatever it was.

Money is another story. She sometimes "invites" me out to lunch, but guess who gets the bill?

i just got 3 peanut butter jars of missl. sockets and stuff from my kid. "some of these probably yours". after i was bitchin the other day lookin for a socket. lol

Scissors and Sharpies tend to go missing for me (Wife & Two Daughters 10&13yr). Then you couple in that sometimes I rob from my hiding spots, use them somewhere else and forget where I set them.

It didnt disappear but same outcome. Came home one day to this. Couldnt help but smile.

My son the musician walked off with my turntable. A couple of suitcases went missing when the kids moved out. When the girls were still at home, we lost phone chargers seemingly on a weekly basis...

It could be worse, I know.
