setting at the kitchen table the other morning and had this idea flash into my head. i don't know if it's been done or not but what about a toolbox grill? a tailgater.

THAT BOTTOM GRATE IS DEEPER THAN IT APPEARS IN THIS PHOTO.

TODAY I'LL CUT THE VENT HOLES AND ADD HANDLES. Then sandblast and new high temp paint.

As you can see, I used old wrenches for handles and boxed in the drawers to make the charcoal compartment. The bottom drawer is still independent so I can pull it out for cleaning.
