Hi all,

After years of enjoying a great BBQ, and telling the fiance that we had to have an offset smoker she broke down and got me one for Christmas. A Char Broil American gourmet deluxe. So that led me here, while I love smoked meats and fishes, I have to admit I don't have any experience doing it. I am hoping to learn a lot here. Hve a good day all.

Welcome Zim!

I can't help you with that offset, but there's some guys on this forum who can make those things talk.

They'll be putting you on the right track for sure!

Thanks for welcomes! Well its 19 degrees here in Michigan so I figured today seemed like a great day to season the ole girl, yes I decided it is a girl. I figure it will be as temperamental as one so it must be one. I also figured I better get it seasoned now and put a couple of things through it as I have people coming over in two and half weeks for a mid winter blues party! We will be pretending its not cold out, yeah right. Thanks again all, and yes I have signed up and have read the e-course well worth it.
