All,

I love browsing CL for smokers and came across a 18in WSM with a BBQ guru for $150. Both units seem to be pretty solid condition. The WSM is the older model without the therm built in. Thoughts?

FYI: I own a 22.5 kettle, a jumbo joe, and a Smokey Joe gold (I mainly use the Smokey joe for my mini WSM)

I am really thinking about it. I have an igrill unit so a therm isn't a huge deal. Now just have to get the wife to agree!! Thanks for the input

Buy them, and buy them ASAP!

My WSM is a 2005 model (the old style) that I bought new in 2005, and I've had a BBQ Guru on it since 2006.  Paid a lot more for both of them individually.  What you have found is a unicorn price on that combo.

Also you know you could buy it, keep the BBQ Guru and sell the WSM and make most of your purchase money back (if not all).

I use the iGrill with mine as mine is and older unit without the unreliable manufacturers therm. I did add the WSM silicone probe grommet to mine.

This thread shows the same mod, but made on one of my mini-wsms. Has part number and place to order from.

Have an update: he got back to me and we are trying to arrange a time and place so I can take a look at it!

I'm moving to Florida. Anything here in Oklahoma with Weber on it is 10% over retail it seems like. Rusted out Charbroil OKJ? $400. It's crazy.
