Certainly the bark has some concentrated flavors, but is only a portion of the flavor profile of the brisket. The rest of it should have a nice smokey flavor. I wouldn't let the loss of bark bother you too much, it should still taste okay.

To late to worry about it now. Next time double or triple wrap it. I’m still old school & don’t wrap at all unless I’m in a hurry to get it done. Then I still use foil.
