Leaving tomorrow, for a roadtrip down to Pensacola, FL- Be stopping at Memphis tomorrow night, probably go to the Rendezvous BBQ- Any suggestions from folks on good Q joints between Memphis and Mobile?

I can't tell you of any, though I'm sure there are, good Q joints in Jackson or Hattiesburg but if you have time in Mobile try Saucy Q BBQ on Government Street or on Moffett Road which is Hwy 98 from Hattiesburg to Mobile. I would try their ribs with a side of red beans and rice. Here is a link.

As far as the Rendezvous goes, if you've never been then it's worth the trip one time. If I were wanting to eat Q in Memphis though, I would go to Corky's on Poplar. I believe it is the original Corky's and is muy excellente.
Also if your in the Mobile area and looking for good seafood then you should try Mary's Place in Coden, AL for a shrimp po'boy or the Original Oyester House in Spanish Fort, AL for all seafoods. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Thanks! This is our 2nd trip to memphis, 1st time we hit Neelys' as well as all the joints on Beale- Thought we get Rendezvous under our belt- Hattiesburg is a real good chance- Thanks for the tip!
