I know that there are a lot of Father’s out their on the SMF site….I would like to wish each and every one of you “A Happy Fathers day!!!!”…. but I’m a little curious, Who is the most important person in your life today??? I do want to highlight that you do not have to be biologically related to a man in your life to still be his father….My Mom and my dad were divorced when I was 6 months old. My step-dad has been in my life for over 35 of the last 39 years of my life…..He has always been their for me over the years and is one of the most important people in my life still today……He has done so much for me over the years that words can’t even begin to explain how important he is to me……If it were not for him, I know I would not be were I am today..... I want to wish him the Very Best Happy Fathers day he could ever have…..  Happy Father's day AVB love ShoneyBoy.......

That is so very true!

In my situation, both me and my wife's elder primary relatives have passed on, both sets are dead, and as it should be by this time.  My "most important person in (my) life today" is my lovely wife.  I am now retired and my wife is retiring Nov. 30th of this year as my caregiver.  We look forward to our remaining years with family and friends doing the simple things in life, and doing them together or separately for our enjoyment.  On Dec. 1, the alarm clock goes in the trash!  We pray our children and grandchildren don't precede us and we pass into eternal rest comfortably and quickly.  It's the last quarter of our lives; we still have gumption enough to go screaming into it and a long slide into home plate successfully however, lol!
