Yep...Synthetic material, but even the ones you describe, only lose hairs after many uses. I test for fibers falling out before I use one. A couple of tugs and no worries. I like and have used cotton mops but they are a PITA to clean and I mop so infrequently that cotton is not worth my trouble...JJ
JJ I see what your saying, but my experience has been the cheap disposable brushes loose a bristle now & then. Don't want that in my dinner. Are there ones that don't loose any bristles?

I also noticed that as well....however I now use my brush' to "dab" the sauce on as opposed to "brushing" it on.myself.. I go cheap and disposable as well.... I use a water bottle and poke a hole in the cap... I've noticed when using a brush it wipes the rub off.....
