So I was lucky enough to get new years eve and New years day off. Last year we were at the coast and participated in the annual Polar dip which was awesome but this year we are going to stay home and do some cookin. Tomorrow gonna be smokin a 9lb pork butt with some SoFlaQuers (first time using this)finishing sauce along with some smoked mac and cheese. New years day Going to be boiling up some Sea food and steaming some clams and Oysters. Hopefully I can find myself a nice steak to Q because Im not a huge fan of sea food but cooking it earns me lots of points with my wife and family that will be coming over. I think all of us on this forum like preparing meals for others even if its not one of our favorites. Theirs just something about seeing people enjoy what you have prepared for them. Well anyways, what does everybody have on the Menu for the holiday and dont forget about appetizers and sides. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and stays well fed and safe

Amen brother. Congrats on the time off. NYE is a appetizer fest for us. No meals, just like 5-6 appetizers. Not sure yet what makes the cut but bacon wrapped water chestnuts is always on the list. Shrimp tray too.

Pork loin and sauerkraut most definitely for NYD. Can't have a bad year befall on us... ;)

Oooohhh... I dunno. After Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day with our British Friends,
Probably a diet.
But that's a bad word, the first 3 letters are die.
We were Party Animals!

But I'm always open for suggestions. Bacon-ey appateasers sound good! Pork Loin is a favorite with me.
And Finger Lickin Chicken for the Mrs. :emoji_princess: (She could eat Chicken all day, every day. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )
But, a Butt always makes me drool....:emoji_rolling_eyes:
