What A Crayfish Day!!

For my son and I to be a part of!

Hey all, I had been chatting with @civilsmoker about crayfishing due to my son’s fascination with crayfishing.

However, just starting out and learning… I was just shooting from the hip.

Civil was very helpful in steering me in the right direction… and his guidance is very much appreciated!

So, he and I have been chatting back and forth for a while… being just a couple hours away from one another… we have always wanted to meet up!

He was gracious enough to reach out and invite my son Pete and I on a crayfish trip with he and his son.

Well, it didn’t take long for me to accept his offer!

I will let some pics talk now… what a fun afternoon we had!

The size of them crayfish still is just unreal to me… We were blown away… what a haul!

I want to thank @civilsmoker for his help, advice and guidance! Appreciate ya bud!

Also, his wife prepared an awesome lunch… thanks Mrs. Civil.

In closing, I want to say what an absolute pleasure it was to meet and hang out with @civilsmoker and his son. Two of the most top notch and awesome folks in the world!

Thanks for coming along for some passive (well not so passive setting 15 traps) fishing! I’m going to go out is a limb and say I believe you and Pete are “hooked” now!

I still haven't ordered any traps yet, but soon. I really want to try this as I think it's an untapped resource around here. Don't know if the size is that big, but I'm sure there are numbers...

Just some beyond awesome folks and was such a great time with both! Some top notch folks on this forum!

Rafter, we need to convince @Brokenhandle and his wife to come out to the West Yellowstone rendezvous so we can crash his camp and bring some crawlers to boil up over the fire!

Having a freezer full for winter is always a welcomed thing. Did you get your new trappy traps? Just wondering what you think of them?
