I looked at the Gasser C and thought I may be able to do the same thing but cheaper. I'm actually about to trade a guy a 6-pack for a tabletop propane stove. I'm hoping it will work. Did the "brownie pan" come with the burner? I'm also thinking about using that same concept.

Here is a link to my build so far: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/131297/nw-ohio-whirlpool-freezer-conversion

I don't have the dimensions with me but I think mine is going to be bigger.

Yeh M.

The brownie pan came with it.

I think the hole had to be 7x11 and it dropped rite in.

I looked at the one from northern tool also.

I didn't want to open the door all the time to adjust the burner.

With the gasser the valve is on the outside.

Hi T

I agree with ya on the northern tool. Looks nice but don't like where the controls are located.

After doing some thinking on your low temp problem, I thought a needle valve may help. Below is a post I found describing a needle valve and how they work. The pictures are hard to tell his exact setup but I'm assuming that the needle valve is in line after the regulator. Don't take my words to the bank cause I have a 50/50 shot of being wrong. Maybe someone could help us with the logistics.

Hey M

I don't know if That's my problem.

When I dial everything down as low as it will go. I barely see the flame and I am hitting and holding 170. Next weekend I am going to have more time , and I am going to really experiment with it . I have never opened the damper all the way open ,that might help some too.

Thanks for getting the info.

I might call the gasser people and pick there brains a little.

I'll let you know what they say

When you first started your build, did you skin the door and trim in stainless or just raw steel? If so, was it around 1/16" thick? I found some snap together round duct work (size and price are right) at Menard's but have a bad feeling its galvanized. Don't' want to take any chances with that.

Let me know what you find out cause you almost have me sold on ordering the burner.

Yeh I trimmed it in stainless.

When you put it on ,read the post by Dave Omak.

He helped me with stringing the door.

When you put the new skin on,it will have a tendency to pull the corners up a little. It will make the door seem like it is warped and wont seal right. Follow Daves advice on stringing the door and it will save you a lot of time.

I got some good advise from these guys.

It was all trial and era. they did help me alot.

No Stack is galvanized.

It's 4". But i couldn't find a 4" damper so I bought a 6" damper and cut it down to fit.
