Next door neighbor lady from Germany said, "lets have a German food fest at my house". The bride and I agreed to make the sausages and pretzels, neighbor's are going to make the sides and desserts!

Getting started on some weisswurst now, potato sausage later.

Had to take a break to fry test and wet my whistle, so here are a few teasers...

Never made or had weisswurst, but it looks great. What time is the party, I might have to crash it just to try weisswurst for the first time!

Nice Charlie - When is the fest? I am waiting for my invitation.

Folks, I assure you, there will be pics! Going to poach them soon and then vac pack, will reheat in the bags tomorrow.

Had one blow out and cleaned out the bottom of the stuffer. BIG patty fry!

Finished pics later.

Well it definitely looks good. My father in-law is from Austria, he talks of "Old Country" and their sausage a lot. Weisswurst  is one of them, potato another, One that is in the fall that butchers make when its time to their pigs, The one that sticks out I can't find either or is a different name in places is knockwurst. ( Not sure if the spelling is right) But the sausage from home he talks about a lot. Let me know how it turns out. Definitely one I would like to make for him. He loves our brats. So I will be watching and waiting.....

Looks great CB!

Poach? Time to step up and Sous vide those sausages!

I'll be waiting for the finale!

Make sure you eat them before noon with sweet mustard and a pretzel !
