Vertical Smoker Build

We, ( my son and I) are thinking about a new smoker build. He wants a vertical insulated smoker. We built me a reverse flow last fall that works great. I will include a picture of it. The question or questions I have are to the people that have a vertical and all the input we can get. We are thinking of a box in a box. The inside box would be 1/4" plate the outside would be 1/8" plate we were going to go 1 or 2 inches between and insulate with rockwoll. If anyone has any suggestions, tips or hints please let us know.
