Hey ya'll from N.C.  I just joined my first ever forum. I've been smoking butts and briskets on my old Brinkman horizontal smoker for 20+ years. Now I have decided to build a 250 gal. propane tank reverse flow stick burner. As I searched the internet for helpful tips on my build I came across this forum and all I can say is WOW!!!  What a great source of info from many well seasoned cooks .I have already changed a few ideas I had for my build. I scratched the idea of a propane backup for heat source after the potential bomb stories I read. I'm in the very early stages since all I have right now is a tank, a trailer and a vision. I'm sure I will have many questions (hopefully not dumb ones)  Thanks for all of your input!!!

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you on this site. There are a couple of calculators floating around that will give you all of the measurements you need to do the job that you're wanting.

Good luck with your build and good smokin', Joe. :grilling_smilie:

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a much needed rainy night here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
