I took out a small venison roast and 2 venison tenderloins this morning before heading off to work and wasn't thinking of doing much with them but last minute got some inspiration to break out my little portable Smokey Joe Weber Grill and some pecan chips. So I seasoned them up with some steak rub I got for Christmas and I loaded up the grill with charcoal and some pecan chips and grilled on direct heat till reached about 120 to 130 and then let them rest. Came out moist and flavorful with a hint of the pecan and the 3 year old and 6 year old each had 2 helpings even with the 6 year old feeling under the weather. Here are the pics of the finished product I got as it was dark out and the grill shots came out blurry. Enjoy.
