Venison pastrami from steaks

Can you make pastrami from venison steaks, i am out of roasts. I tried it for the first time today and had i known would have saved the roasts.

Hi there and welcome!

Should be able to since the steaks likely come from roast cuts anyhow.
The only issue you may run into is that the steaks may be thin already so you may not be able to slice them into sandwich meat unless you stack them all together.

Also you will have a lot of seasoning on the outside unless you rinse it all off before smoking and then slicing.

As tallbm said I dont see why not , just go easy with seasoning,
