Finally broke down and ordered a domed lid for my trusty UDS. This drum has performed admirably for many years and I wanted to maximize the capacity. It currently has two shelves and will do 8 butts or 2 full packers or 14 racks of ribs. I might be able to add another shelf!

UDS smokers are the most efficient out there and I've used them all. It's like a 22" Weber Smoky Mountain on steroids.

This lid seems like it will circulate the smoke better as well. I hope the airflow is close to the same because with my old setup, one valve open ran the drum at 230-245 for 14-15 hours, hands-off.

I will try to give it a run in the next couple of weeks and see how it performs.
