My desk around my computer was getting out of hand with all the tools and other stuff that was always in the way.

I took a bit of time and a few revisions to get the prints exactly how I wanted them but in the end I managed to fit a lot of stuff

in a minimum amount of space and clear out a bunch of space on my desk.

My favorite thing to print with these days is PLA+ It is the perfect blend of ease of use and price.

The mounts fit around my computer case. They use both nut and bolts as well as 3M two sided tape to keep them in place.

This is for tools as well as BluTooth headphones and a Xbox controller that I use every night.

The mounts.

The mounts filled up.

This organizes a lot of stuff in an otherwise unused space.

I like it! Bad thing about big desks... they can hold alot of stuff!
I think 3 D printers are cool and useful... should probably get one, maybe I need one and haven't been enabled yet! :emoji_laughing:
But kinda wonder if I had one, would I use it enough?

If that's what you are thinking then probably not.

The printing is the easy part when everything works. The designing part has a huge learning curve.

Oh yeah!

I've learned enough in Fusion (hobbyist version) to design "most" of what I want to print. When I run across something new, I go to YT and see if I can find a tutorial and work at it till I get it.

I finally threw in the towel on the idea of "fully constrained", though...I get why it's a good practice, but this stuff is just for me (usually a one-off), so I quit stressing over it.

More and more I have been designing with tinkercad. It is way easier to use although not as sophisticated as Autodesk. Both are the same company but tinkercad is free. As of now I have 157 designs on there.
