Masterbuilt 30 elite electric. Only used it once so far with ribs and chicken drum sticks. Weather here has been cold, snowy and rainy. Is the probe used to monitor the cabinet temp or the meat internal temp? I have a Themopop on order.
I just bought a 4 lb sirloin tip roast for Saturdays adventure.
Thanks!

What Chopsaw said. The built in meat probes are notorious for being off temp wise.

If you are able I would invest in a good dual probe thermometer. I personally have a Thermopro TP-20 and have had great results out of it. But there are countless others on the market such as maverick and Igrill that seem like they have good reviews also.

Good luck on the tip roast!
