Nice, thanks, that's a buck less then the chuck roast coupon in my area (99701).

I wonder if this also works at Safeway, they tend to not have as good of deals, at least in my area.

I've noticed the past 6mo or so the sales at King Soopers/ Kroger have been less and less. Part of me wonders if it is to prepare us for the possible merger/buyout with Kroger and Albertson/Safeway. It's currently under review with the FTC, but recently Kroger announced it plans on finalization by August this year. We shall see.

It appears this also works with Kroger's Cash Back savings (didn't even know that existed till I started after seeing this thread). Currently the Kroger in Dr K's area (61615) has $4 back on 3 Coors/Pringles/Miller items while in my area (99701) the same one is $10 back.

I LOVE going to the Tom Thumb stores in my area that are part of the Albersons/Safeway family.
They have good meat and produce and are just a hair higher than Walmart or maybe even Kroger prices, and have some good items but not exclusive enough on items that the Whole Foods/Trader Joes crowds feel like they need to "be seen" at the store blowing their money to act like they are extra fancy lol.

So with that atmosphere, the lines are never backed up. The store is neve crowded, and they ALWAYS have a mark down section in the store where I can find good deals on canned, boxed, etc. food items and other things.

I freaking LOVE being able to get good food with little hassle at the grocery store AND not break the bank. As this thread indicates, we are wise enough to buy the weekly deals so the slightly higher prices on other stuff doesn't bother me because I don't really get those things from the store AND if I do, I don't mind spending $0.10 more on something that is of good quality vs fighting the crowds and BS at other stores :D

Safeway / Albertsons seems to pay more attention to where you are so this doesn't appear to work with them. Clipping digital coupons from a different Safeway area code did cause them to show up on my phone app but shortly thereafter it wanted to know my location and then those coupons from outside the area were gone. Clipping digital coupons from Albertsons or other related stores did not cause them to show up on my app or my Safeway account.

Yeah that has kind of been my experience too.
They also are very on the ball that the moment you use a digital coupon and it's limits that it is completely gone. So no gaming the system and using at multiple stores.

I'm sure if I really poked and prodded I could find some gaps but not really worth the effort for me :)

I've been trying this with every grocery store in my area that offers digital coupons and a big goose egg has been the result. Wish we had Kroger around here.

I just looked at the new Kroger add, which starts tomorrow around here, and the only things that I saw that might be of interest are St. Louis ribs for $1.99/lb. and frozen turkey breast for $1.49/lb.

Nothing that good in my area (99701) this next week, just chicken drum sticks and thighs at $0.99/lb. Wasn't that long ago that price would have been normal, not a sale.

75248, the main thing is $1.97/lb St Louis Style Ribs. Also some $7.99/lb frozen breaded butterfly shrimp for those observing Lent and wanting a fast seafood option for your fridays :D

I went ahead and did a pic of pretty much the whole coupon digital deals starting tomorrow. I saw the milk, Freschetta pizza, Silk almond milk, and Arm & Hammer detergent and figured people may be interested in those as well.

It'll be interesting for sure if this works. My concern is will stores outside of the sale area have the inventory. I don't go to Kroger often because they are a trek to get there, but I don't remember seeing brisket in the shelf when they didn't have it on sale. But also wasn't really looking for it, either...
I stopped at 2 in Columbia Sat. One had brisket at 1.99/lb (the janky one over at Sparkleberry) but only had one that looked like it had been butchered by vultures, so I drove over to the nice one on Killian that always has brisket. They had a case full, but at 3.99lb. 10 minutes apart. I was quite disappointed. I should have asked them to price match but by then I'd been going since 7 that morning and it was about 8pm, so I just left. Not a waste of a trip as I stopped at the Food Lion in Elgin and got 3 bellies for 2.99lb.

Very nice! The pics really help out. I use to get 4 ads of all major super markets on Tuesdays but no longer since the local paper etc cut off delivery. I have to find everything on line and screenshot.

Good price on those strawberries too! Thanks for sharing. Gonna clip those and the spares right now. Nothing very special in my area. Same ad as Gonna Smoke Gonna Smoke here.

Have never see a Kroger store in this area. All Hy Vee, Fareway, & Walmart or go 90 miles to a City and fined Aldie's. Walmart never has specials in their grocery line. Other two do regularly and compete against each other a lot of times. Don't do that digital stuff on the phones either. Only apps I use are for the grill and my hearing aids. To old fashion and stubborn for this new high-tech stuff.
