Eat your ice cream before it melts. Here in Ohio I don't have that problem.

I am NOT going to mention, for fear of what could happen, how unusually mild this winter has been so far......

Lucky you although we've not had real bad weather but a lot of rain and off and on cold and right now it is cold and windy. Thanks to our Canadian friends.

So, is it a Colorado low as reported in Canada or an Alberta clipper as reported in the US. Either way it's damn cold. Last night the wind chill was -40. Is that Celsius or Fahrenheit?

Yes.

If you're asking about the thermometer, that's Fahrenheit. I got that at a Tractor Supply place and it's as big as a dinner plate. When I bought it, I thought it was too big, but now I like it because I can read it through the kitchen window. In darkness, I can hit it with a flashlight.

Well, I don't actually hit it, I just turn the flashlight on and point at it.

I'm used to warmer weather in December, like 40 - 50F, and then a sharp cold snap right around New Years. This time it was a few weeks later but it's what I was expecting.

Oh well, I have the right clothing to loiter outside at 0F.

Yesterday I read my morning paper online because it was too cold (-6f) to walk to the road where the paper tube is located.

This is one thing we can all agree upon -40F is equal to -40 C. Just so US - Canada relations don't get any Older!!
