UDS wins...

After using my UDS for several months now and becoming familiar with its qualities, a friend recently gave me his Smoke Hollow Electric Smoker.  I've used it a few times now and I am not impressed.  The UDS kicks it a$$.  I may have to mod the Smoke Hollow to get better ventilation.  But I'm sold on the UDS.  In fact I'm going to pick up two new barrels this week. I want another to experiment with and a friend asked me to build one for him.  It also gives me a reason to go buy that 110v wire feed I've been after...haha

Hey Ferd..... The guy or gal that invented the UDS really had their "stuff' together.... simple... effective.... easy on fuel.... easy to control the temps... inexpensive... takes up a small foot print... and they put out great food..... Other than that, I can't think of much more to say... Congrats on making great food.... that is the bottom line around here....

your gonna do a little welding with that 110v and run into a situation where you wished you had a 220v rig.... just saying.. If you can swing it get the 220v ...

Nah....anything that requires a 220 welder will be done at one of my buddies.  Best of all...he'll do the welding too.
