Trying to fix a pit smoker

Very new at all this. Recently bought a home and I think it came with a pit smoker. I've searched online for something that resembles it but can't find anything. I need help, I don't know if it works or if the setup is correct.

You have a brick smoker/cooker there.  Looks like it needs some TLC though.

Post this in the Brick Smoker section and you should get a lot of assistance.

Looks to me like a great project to get it going again!
