Posted this on different forum. Called customer service. They were polite. They advised me to get blow torches or screw extraction tools to fix an obvious manufacturers defect. Maybe im unlucky but is it worth the risk? Felt the need to let others know about this company. They aren't serious about grills/smokers but they are good at marketing

Hey has anyone had issues with a pit boss pellet smoker? Bought an 850 under a year ago, used it a few times. Kept it under a porch with a cover. It's not igniting now. Got replacement igniter but it's been a pain trying to remove fire pot to replace it. Seems like a POS to have these issues with such little use. Used to have different smokers but getting older and wanted something a little less labor intensive.

Had my PB1150 since 21. Couple issues but CS responded and sent me parts.
Anything that bolts up and get heated to cherry red temps. Is going to have stuck hard to remove bolts. I've found the way to remove them is heat to red hot or drill.

I know people that love them without a problem.
Others have some problems.

Before you go any further get access to the controller and disconnect and re connect all the connectors. I think all the molex are different, but do it 1 connector at a time to avoid mixing them up. They have a problem with not seating and locking connectors on some units.

I used to post on pellet head. They are pellet pooper focused where this forum is not. Knowledgeable people at PH, but they can be snarky.

Once you calm down, stop over at roll call and introduce yourself.

This is my third season with my PB. Only problems I've encountered were probably my fault, for not cleaning out the system when I should have. Anything mechanical can, and will, break down eventually. Hell, even Mercedes-Benz has service centers.
