I planned on smoking my first tritip tomorrow. When I picked up the tritip today I ended up also picking up some CSR pork ribs (small package of 3 just to try out) and then I also decided to get a package of chicken wings to try those out.
What I'm not sure about is how long each will take so I can figure out when to put each type of meat in the smoker. From reading on here I'm pretty sure the tritip will take 2-3 hours and the wings will take about 2 hours so I'll probably throw the wings on about 1/2 hour after the tritip. If they finish a bit early I'll just use them as an appetizer.
But when should I put the CSR ribs on? They are about an inch thick if that matters.
They were having a sale so I also picked up a pork loin, 4 racks of beef ribs, a pork butt, and two whole chickens. Safeway calculates your savings based on the sale and I saved $46 total on all the meat I picked up today. Woohoo!! These are all in the freezer for smoking over the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to try all of these out!
Oh, and on another side note my Smoke Daddy came in today so can't wait to play with that this weekend. What a day!!!
Thanks.
