Looks outstanding Charles. :emoji_thumbsup:

Not my picture, but this is how we cook them.

T.T. goes on sale for $2.75 a pound several times a yr out here, it's one of the few perks we get out here. LOL!!!

Very nice work! I would have been a happy camper with a few slices of everything! I agree with Chris that sear looks good to me….I prefer a softer sear on TT

TT have become our fave in the house! The USDA prime TT are only $1 more a lb than choice at our local Costco….so we usually end up with one of those! Price around here vary from 7.99 to 11.99/lb 11.99 is for prime

Thanks so much for the compliments. I really love the flavor of TT and would definitely buy it if I could find it. Someone suggested Walmart so may give them a look, but there's just something about buying meat from them that doesn't appeal to me, not sure why...

Mighty fine cook Charles! Tri tips are kinda elusive here as well. One local store stocked them last summer but haven't seen them lately.

Mighty nice looking piece of meat. Sides too.

Tri Tip has become rather popular here in Texas in the last several years. H-E-B always has them (HEB is a very well run and superb grocery chain in the Lone Star State, for those not familiar). The issue (and this seems to the issue with EVERYTHING NOW) is not availability, but price!

I know inflation happens periodically for myriad reasons (no political statement hear, just sayin'), and this round seems almost laughable; except the crying gets in the way of laughing.

I say that because, of the many things I love about our great state, is BEEF! Glorious, beautiful, wonderful beef. Ya know, it's what's for dinner. And Lunch. And Breakfast. And late night snacks...

So, I deduce that things must be bad with inflation because I cannot find packer briskets for $1.49/lb anymore. Yes, we could get basic select, full packers for $1.49/LB. Or $1.99 at least. Sometimes choice for $2.99 or even prime on occasion at $3-4 range. Beef grows on trees around these here parts. I hope those days come back; the beef prices at least.

Sorry for the brief rant, but I could eat brisky, TT, steak, well.........beef in general everyday. My clogged heart is breaking.

Oh, and again, nice TT.

I've often wondered about that myself. Sometimes the wife will hear me whining about how everyone else gets tri tip but me lol 🤣
Dang JLinza JLinza , Tritip is a California cut. We are on the eastern slope of Cali. Every grocery store in my town carries it. Some even as a packer totally untrimmed. None over your way?

Naw, pretty much our local butcher. Our only 2 grocery stores here are Walmart & Safeway. And they never have cuts like tri tip.

We have Walmart, City Market (king supers) and Safeway. All stock them. I bet if you drove down to Lakewood you’d find them? Maybe?
