I love the cold but hate snow. Why love the cold... Because in my opinion nothing beats pan fish, walleye, and pike that have been caught through the ice. I went in for the snip snip surgery last week and don't feel like going yet but soon enough..( maybe I'm sharing to much with you people) lol I'm not bashful. Currently 5*f
LOL---Had that done 40 years ago, and it never affected my Ice Fishing. Couple days, you'll be fine!!

I thought there were no side effects to that procedure (hormone levels, manliness)....

Just yanking your chain...

You will be fine Me and two BIL's had that done about the same time about 39 years ago. Me and one BIL took it easy did what the Dr. said,

The other BIL thought he was a tough guy went back to work climbing around on a construction site. They swelled up like Softballs and was laid up several weeks. We had a little fun, kept telling him they may have to amputate !!!

1981 for me. Had it done Friday & back on the site Monday. No problems except for the damn stitches snagging...
Like an idiot I let out what was done so I was called "numb nuts" for a couple of weeks.

I'm actually getting around well my doc really wanted me to lay low and do nothing for 5 days 2 was enough to make me go stir crazy. I started building shelves in the basement stair well and keeping up with the wood stove.
Most of my family calls me bill or Billy bob

Been wearing a Mankini due to the mild temps around here (pics upon request).   Sorry to hear  you guys are experiencing such crispy weather.

It's just a puncture wound these days.i thought about calling the old veterinarian in town and asking g if the moon was right for the procedure. The moon always had to be right when we would run cattle through the chute for castoration and de-horning otherwise they wouldn't heal right. ( Thread hijack sorry)

Shoveled 8" this morning. We have a few day reprieve. Just going to be damn cold. Single digit temps at night and 20's during the day.

It's snowed 50"+ inches since the first of December.

We've had those temps some (in the 50s with rain today and back to the 20s by Friday.[emoji]128566[/emoji])
I really can't imagine 50". Makes me glad to be " in the middle".

Sheesh---You guys are really getting abused.

I think we usually get more than you, but so far not this year.

We only got a total of 9" over 7 Snows!

And our cold days were only as low as 12° so far.

Tomorrow is supposed to be 57°, and all next week in the 40s.

Strange Weather!!!

Stay Warm, Case!!

We've probably had half that here but it's still record setting. It's currently like driving through a Slurpee but the streets have drained quite a bit. What's left will be an ice rink by Friday.

The important thing is that Freddy's has whole sockeye for $3.79 a pound! There will be a batch in the smoker by the weekend.

We're just thankful that all 50" didn't happen at once. Around the town the average snow depth is right around 28"-36".

Hope the storm drains are good and clear. Cause when this melts off, it's going to be a mess.

Worst winter here since 92-93. Thankfully a few days of no snow.

Heating the house I cutting into my smoking funds!
