Been a lifelong WSM and kettle guy, but have been very intrigued lately with an offset stick burner. Not much has popped up around me over the past couple of months but have had my eye on this one. It is the only smoker the guy has built and I'm not exactly sure what to look for other than what I can mention. 48" cook chamber with 24" firebox, 3/8" throughout, metal strap overlap. Says he saw around a 5 to 20 degree difference end to end when up to temp, only used a few times. Currently has price at $700 after starting at $1,100.

I'm done with stickurners (the ones I can afford that is) and have moved on to gravity feed charcoal units.
Flavor profile is very close to stick burn units and time spent driving to keep clean blue smoke is down to near zero.
I am very glad I sold my stickburner, it's been over 100 for something like 70 days in a row now with no rainfall whatsoever and past 11:00AM, it's just too hot to venture outdoors for more than a few minutes at a time.
