I have had it for about a month now and this sucker has been great for everything I've cooked grilling or low n slow. I got it thinking I was going to sell it because I wouldn't like it but its not going anywhere at this point.

Food looks great. Did they come up with a fix for the Grease Fire issue?...JJ

There never was a grease fire issue in my opinion. People just didn't understand how to use the grill. It's pretty simple to clean it before/after ever cook or use a drip pan for fatty cuts.

Did some beef plate ribs today. Sliced them the wrong way but they were still were good and tender.

Did some salt and pepper only st Louis ribs and smoked a tri tip like a brisket. First time doing either this way and they both turned out amazing but I was more surprised at how tender the tri tip was. Everyone who's posted about cooking it like a brisket loved it but still you never know until you try it yourself

Certainly looks like you are getting steady great results. I will have to take another look. I like easy and no major modification. The Masterbuilt Gravity looks good but having to mod the firebox with thicker steel is something the Factory should do, not folks that just bought a new smoker...JJ

The masterbuilt gravity is a great grill/smoker as far as flavor and ease of use go. I had it the first few days after it was released but sold it after about 5 months. Just didn't see it holding up as long as I'm thinking the smokefire will and even with the charcoal chute mod I've seen a few post where people are having serious warpage.

Did a 9lb brisket over the weekend. Not my best but was still good.

Happy you’re happy with the SF. I thought I was gonna get one, but the initial problems they were having were enough to steer me away...for now.
