This is the first PA restaurant i ate at when we moved to Lancaster county. I loved the chicken corn soup and the waitress gave me the recipe card. We been taking this card all over.

Great Recipe. I worked 9 years at the Lancaster PO, and have been up and down Rt. 30 frequently, from Gap through Blue Ball, Intercourse, Bird in Hand, Lancaster to Columbia and the River. I can't figure out were this place was located.
Old Amish Family Style was a favorite growing up and we made regular pilgrimage from NJ to Shartlesville on Rt. 22/78 to eat at the Shartlesville Inn. And visit Roadside America. Anyway, living in Lancaster County, we DEFINITELY would have frequented the resaurant you speak of. Did it close prior to 1990?...JJ
If you were on 30 heading east this would have been on the left side. If i remember it was a tan building with brown trim and there was a windmill on top. They closed it and tore it down for a strip mall. Good N Plenty was down the rd on a side street, Shady Maple is up further towards Leola area. Bird in hand bakery has a good choc cream pie. We lived in Ephrata for 14 years across from the hospital. Green Dragon was like 3 miles from us. Aint been back to the area for bout 5 years now. If you get into Lititz go check out Rock Lititz. Huge compound where many artists record. Kiss, AC/DC, Many country artists and many more others. My wife grew up there in Lititz and was the fish feeder at the fish farm in front of their house for the Lititz sportsmans club.
