Didn't realize how much I loved this thing until I left it in a butt with the lid down on the Oklahoma Joe.... came back to find it in severe melt down. Had to go out and buy another one. It will take a reading in about 30 seconds and works well with smaller pieces of meat too. I bought mine at Lowes for about $15.00. Been wanting a thermo pen but I just can't let loose of the 100 dollar bill. Wanted to share what a great little therm it is for the money.
