Mixed up 5lbs of GB for some jerky. Used OwensBBQ SS mix, Why not ......EH.

Sometime you have to improvise and just make something so i made a GB jerky form board.

The pics tell the process.

Clear wrap on the bottom, press the meat between the slats, clear wrap over the top and use your rolling pin to flatten. I used a silicone spatula to cut the strips.


This was mixed yesterday and cure 1, yes even for the dehydrator.


I made the board, gotta use what i have.

How did the flavor work as a dried GB jerky?  I've got a bag of the Owens SS I have not opened yet and this looks interesting.
 
Flavor is great, maybe next time roll thinner as these took longer than normal.

No means to pull the 5th wheel so its staying. If Irma wants it she can have it. We heading to ATL this afternoon.
