well got my STX 3000 Tubroforce today. Hoping to do some grinding soon so I can review it. Just hoping it is an ok grinder. Gears are plastic that kinda concerns me but guess we'll give it a shot.

Well good luck, Always fun with a new toy....  What are your planls, Sausage, burger? big batches 20+ at a time, small batches, 5-15 at a time?

Enjoy.

i'm probably gonna make my own burger at first, most likely small batches. The stuff you buy in the stores almost makes me sick to eat, the quality is horrible. I worked as a meat cutter for 25 years and it's different now a days then it was back then. Then I hope to get into making my own sausage and brats and links of all kinds but I'll invest in a stuffer at that time.

Mines several years old and grinds like a champ.

We grind all of our own burger and sausage meat. Ran a bunch of venison through it this year for a buddy.

Cut long 1 1/2" (or smaller) square strips. 8"-1'. Works better than cubes. You won't even need to use the pusher the strips will self feed.

My Sous chef feeds the grinder while I'm slicing. I usually can't keep ahead of the grinder. My Sous chef heckles me. Come on dad speed it up!
