Got our anniversary coming up next week and thats what on the menu.

Nice strips. Now my favorite cut of beef.

Looks great, hard to beat a well cooked steak and tater. it's rare I run across strip steaks with any marbling. have to be careful or I make boot leather lol wife hates pink meat and I have taken a lot of heat for trying to convince her it's not raw , I take it any way but tough

Not hard to take it almost pink and let it rest. I use a instant read probe.

You must of got a good one. I struggled with mine. A friend said he drilled some more holes in his to get it to get hot. I did like it for chicken and such though that I liked the lower heat for. It might of been the year made. I guess I should bring it out of retirement.
