There are two lakes up here real close and camping next to them as well.
Check out Fool Hollow Campground and lake. It is really nice, call first to see what sites can accommodate your whole rig.

We have had moderate success here but the campsites are real nice and the lake is beautiful.
We went to Show Low Lake this morning and have historically had better success there.
It actually boasts the state record walleye was caught here. The lake is beautiful, but I have never camped there. Again call ahead and see if they have a site big enough.
We typically troll a cow bell with a snell hook then tip it with a red worm or half a crawler.
A long-time favorite for lake trout and pike, the Luhr Jensen® Cowbell® Troll presents 4 flashy blades ahead of your bait, ensuring maximum attraction when fish are looking for an easy meal. Trouble-

Since the wind was down this morning it is smokier than it has been the last few days, and Sue is not feeling well right now as she is super allergic to juniper (which is burning in the Bush Fire). But if the weatherman is right about the wind shifting maybe it will clear up this week.
Better yet the monsoons usually start up here around the fourth of July and you can get an afternoon shower most days and temps drop to the 60's, it is our favorite time of the year, and once they kick in it will help them get the Bush fire under control hopefully.
