Speaking of blowing smoke around the smoker.

I have 25 lbs of green coffee beans in the pantry but had to buy store-bought roasted beans yesterday when I ran out of my home-roasted coffee. No way I'm standing outside for 30 mins breathing this crap while I set up, roast, and break down another batch. You can actually taste the ash in the smoke just from the short walk from the front door to the truck in the driveway.

In the big picture, though, a little inconvenience is nothing compared to neighborhoods that have been wiped from the map, and folks who lost everything, including their lives. A little inconvenience doesn't amount to a flea fart.

Still, we're looking forward to blue skies, and tasteless deep breaths of fresh air.

Can't even to begin to imagine what you all are going through. The pictures shared recently are gutwrenching, and surreal. Hoping and praying things start improving ASAP. Stay strong.

No doubt about it! I long for the mornings and nights I can have every door and window in the house WFO and spend the day in the pool drinking beers and evenings hang'in out on the back deck while the smoker is rolling. I'd much rather be sheltered in place on those 113* days we were having right before this crap started. With my AC set at 75* looking out the window and the only smoke in the yard is coming off of my smoker smoking a nice big brisket and that's for damn sure. This crap sucks!!!
