I've spent half my life in NW MN, but my family (both sides) comes from Kansas City by way of South Dakota. (Yep, both sides.) So I like southern food (despite the fact that Kansas blinked during the WBTS).
Pops Fassetts' breakfast sausage, pork butt/venison style, seared over high heat then finished on very low to keep them juicy. (I always cut one open to make sure.)
Last night's cornbread browned in butter; here about half done.
Fried eggs: have your cast iron well greased and well heated, drop in eggs, cover, and shut off the burner. (I use a glass lid.)
Gratuitous pup shot. (Smile for the camera, Foz.)
Obligatory plate shot.
Don't forget the syrup!
Recipes upon request. It's a simply gorgeous day here--hope yours is a peach.
