Evening fellas, non fellas and those of you figuring it out still! Cold snowy day here in Tennessee. I have lots of pics so bare with me. Started snowing around 8am and still going. We had 11 inches when dark hit. Probably hit a foot. Most are daytime pics

Even the Scrambler got some snow love under the carport!

Had some bagels for brunch. On the left smoked lox, cream cheese and capers. On the right prosciutto, cream cheese and capers........that was tasty.

Got a nice chuck rubbed up with this
IMG_20220106_094326.jpg

Onto the smoker with pecan pellets at 225
IMG_20220106_110242.jpg

Once I got the color I liked
IMG_20220106_140317.jpg

Then put it into a pan for a Mississippi pot roast
IMG_20220106_140159.jpg

Supposed to be au jus but I'm snowed in so brown gravy is almost the same. All into the pan. Covered in foil and into the oven until chuck hit about 210
IMG_20220106_140812.jpg

When done separated the veggies and pulled the beef. No plate shot as we were starving but had mashed taters and gravy, Mac n cheese and rolls
IMG_20220106_184636.jpg

Was a fun day of relaxing by the fire and enjoying life
IMG_20220106_171805.jpg

And a bonus my sweet pepper girl got to wear her pajamas
IMG_20220106_190759.jpg

Time for more beers!

I can look out my back door and pretty much see what you're seeing. They said 3 inches .... they didn't say anything about using the scale men use to measure their ....... (trying to keep it clean). It's a bad day when you have to shovel out the feed troughs before you can feed the cows and calves. The food looks great as usual, tho.

Besides the food that looks like a horrible day!!! Coming from a guy in Minnesota that won’t see the snow gone until may. I love the Mississippi pot roast though. Such good flavor.

We gotta have near to, if not a foot on the ground. I'd go out and check, but I'm not sure which measuring stick to use?

Was a good food day for us. And down here we enjoy a good snow. Will be gone In a few days. We will have a few more. But when you don't have to leave the house it's all good. Beats the hell outta December when we were getting pounded with tornadoes! Low tonight is 6 with a wind-chill below zero.......but by Monday back in the 50s

11in what I saw before dark then snowed a couple more hours. Definitely over a foot. Will update in the morning

I'll get a measurement tomorrow when I start digging us out. Only vehicle I had out today was the side by side to go feed. My pickup is in the barn so I can get it out ok, my wife's van and my blazer are pretty snowed in.

In all fairness we had a bunch of tornadoes in December too. About a week after getting 20+ inches of snow. People actually had great video of a snow tornado. Stupid Minnesota, I'm ready to move to Florida.

Don't forget they get some pretty wicked hurricanes down there ....

Lol man you are relentless with the snow/tornado debate. We obviously live in different worlds. I appreciate the comment on the food but let's move on with everything else lol

Man Jake, when you get 11” of snow in TN and still smoke mest it’s hardcore!! I heard a snow storm was rolling through the south. Here in Ohio none now. I really need to go down to the shed and wrestle that blower out. LOVE the pic of your fur baby lol. Roast looks fantastic.

Thanks Jeff and yep that's a ton for us lol. I'm certain nobody in Tennessee owns a snow blower. Will disappear naturally in a few days. Appreciate the like. Pepper loves wearing her pajamas in the winter lol

Thanks bud. Humidity was around 84%. Was crazy though. The most dry snow ever. Couldn't make a snowball to save your life. Not hard to make Q on the pellet smoker on the porch lol. As you can see the stick burner was snowed in. Agree about private selections. Good stuff

That’s called powder buddy! They pay stupid money to ski on it here. We got hit over Christmas but warm now and melting, I’m not complaining.
