Smoking store bought sausage

I have some premio sausage that I bought at Costco sitting in my freezer and I want to smoke them and then put them in a few things like pork and beans. I've never smoked sausage before and I'm just wondering what woods go well with sausage and also how long should I smoke them for them to get a good smoke flavor?

I've smoked Johnsonville brats a few times, used hickory wood. People loved them. I put them on with some chicken breast so 2.5-3 hours at ~250.
