Smoking sticks

I have one half inch stainless rod. Would this work OK for hanging sausage in the smoker? Also how would be the best was to hang klobase on these rods, by the casings or would twine be best? Thanks

Stainless is fine. If your not linking I would just let it fold over the rod.

As long as they don't touch each other. If they touch you won't get smoke where they touch.

On a side note, where are you getting your klobase from?  I'm assuming you are talking about Czech Klobase and not Polish Kielbasa.

Stainless rod is great for using as a smoke stick.

Most of the time I just lay snack sticks over the smoke stick and let it go and have no issues.  For linked sausages, I lay the sausage across the stick at the twist area.
