I am a retired Navy guy and spend all of my free time in the PACNORWEST fishing and hunting. Retired to the Kitsap Peninsula 5 years ago.

Got an electrical smoker for Christmas and am just getting started.

I began with an older element model for a couple of years but just couldnt get the temperature right and ended up ruining most of my salmon.

Did my first batch with the new smoker and had a couple of hiccups such as too much moisture which baked the fish a tad. And not marinating long enough in the brine which caused the color to be dull.

Anyway I am excited to commence smoking other items.

I was fortunate enough to get an elk this year and can't wait to smoke some meat. Also we are going to attempt to make our own summer sausage and Jerky.

Looking foward to exchanging idea's with all, well me getting yours for awhile until I get some experience.

Have a great day.

Chris

From Seattle head west to Tacoma and then hang a right. Cross the Narrows Bridge and keep going to you see water on your right appx. 23 mile.

Thanks Gary. I am all about getting everybodies 2 cents worth. In the long run that lessons how many cents I have to put into my mistakes, even if I do get to eat them. hahaha.
