While looking for stuff in pets a W-M....I came across this bedding material for bird cages.... Now I know how sensitive birds are, Daughter raises Parrots.  Those Amazon highly colored, sometime not too delightful, if they don't take a liking to you, screeching pets....

Anyway here is the description... I checked it out and the cob is "chunked" into sthe size of "BB's" or so.... no dust and if the description is true, it would be suitable for smoking food..... As sensitive as birds are, this stuff would have done them in if it had any chemicals in it...

Just posting this for others to think about...  Anyone here have a GCMS they could analyse this stuff on ??

PS about $4 for the bag.....

CASE00273859 - Refine this tag to fix the issue that variable 'row' cannot be shared to the source page(e.g. specification.jsp).The default scope is page for the variables in tags, so the source page cannot get the calculated row from out side.Date:09/03/2010Changes Notes:1. Changed the attribute "row" to "inputRow"2. Add a new attribute "targetVar", which is used to share the calculated row to source page.3. Add one variable with alias "row", which is derived from "targetVar" attribute. The variable name shouldbe the same as the value of "targetVar" attribute. That means when we operate this variable in tags, it willbe shared to the same named variable in source page.

I have used the corn cob pellets that were from Tractor Supply and they were fantastic; my dad did all his smoking with crushed corn cobs, basically the same thing, just a little larger (popped popcorn size).  A sweeter smoke, no acrid aftertaste like you can sometimes get from Hickory or Mesquite; I highly recommend it!  See my Naked Dixee Chicks post below!

Yes Al its used for pet bedding...I have used  corn cobbs for alot of things but never to smoke meat with..The reason that we use Hickory and Pecan and Apple is for the flavor that they install into our smoked foods...maybe I should try it sometimes with a burger...

Corn cob don't talk about corn cobs. I have never used or think that I ever will use corn cob pellets.
