Thanks Foamy. Your ham post started this whole ball rolling. You were also correct by saying "store bought ham will never be good enough". What's next?? Maybe bacon, will have to see how much bellies are around here. When it turns a little colder a big pot of gumbo. Wanted to make a pot of ham and bean soup from some of this ham but I don't think i'll have enough left.
