Smoked Ham & Turkey

  1. OK fellow smokers, i have a couple of  questions about smoking a ham and a turkey. First does anyone have recipes for a turkey or a ham. I will be smoking both of them at the same time, so what would be the best type of chips to use. also they are around 10-12 pounds a peace, so i'm looking for smoking times and tempartures. any information would help. i've smoked several things in the past and the family loved it, so i'm back for some ideas.

    here's one of my past turkeys.....I like apple wood for birds, cherry makes them slightly darker but a nice flavor. Allow some time, put drip pan underneath to catch drippings for gravy making...no stuffing in the bird.   6. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
