Smoked Cheese Question

Becuase I haven't convinced my wife that I need a foodsvaer yet, is there any other way to age cheese other than waxing? Would a good zip lock bag work?

I used Ziploc bags before , for smoked cheese. They are OK short term. Long term...I got mold - I trimmed it off, cheese was good. Finally got a foodsaver - considering the quantities of cheese I've done lately it will probably pay off soon.

No problem here.  Simply coat your cheese with oil, vegetable or olive, and place on a rack inside a vented plastic container along with a damp crumpled paper towel.   Keep an eye on it and if you see mold starting to form, rinse under tepid water to remove the mold and replace the oil and continue as before.

I will tell you the foodsaver  is the only way to go it will pay for its self in no time just with frost burnt food or things like mold  its well worth its money better that sliced chesses little pun there
