First time I tried smoking a brisket, and it we think it came out pretty good. I've had much success with other meats and I felt I was ready! Started with a, just under three pound flat, and smoked it using a combination of mesquite, pecan and applewood at about 225-250 the whole time.

Looks GREAT!  Congrats on a successful first!

Looks good! That's the same size I did yesterday for my first. How long did yours take?

Thank you! Start to finish, took me about 9 hours total. It was small but kinda thick in the middle. Plus I had a little trouble regulating the temperature for a little there. Smoked it for about 5 hours and then another 2 with it wrapped.

Nice job, very nice. looks pretty darn good
