Hey guys. Newb (Daniel) from SC here. I've never smoked meats before but I've eaten a ton of it. Bought my first smoker the other day after visiting a friend in Montana recently. He had a Smokin' Tex 1400 electric smoker and it looked SO easy and the taste was fantastic. So I decided to try my hand at it. I just purchased my first smoker. A Masterbuilt 40" Electric from Lowe's for $299. I burned it in the other day as the manual says and as we speak I'm smoking my first small 4lb pork butt. Anyway wanted to stop by and introduce myself and say thanks for the site that will give newbs like me a lot of sound advise. Cheers!!!
