I suspect we - the majority of the membership here at SMF - are not the target demographic for SB halftime entertainment any more...

Used to be rockers like Springsteen, McCartney, The Stones, U2, Prince, or Tom Petty...

Hell I can remember when the feature act at SB halftime shows was a college marching band - not some pop music act.

Just shows ya how old we're gettin'. The music that geezers like me listen to isn't relevant to most people under the age of 40.

Was not a fan at all either but too funny not to post.

I went to the mute button ,then the off button and went to bed !
Same here, I got home from work, turned the tube on in time to see Philly score, fell asleep in my chair until the wife nudged me to stop snoring and go to bed. Even the announcers were boring.

I can appreciate the pageantry of the whole performance even if the music isn't my thing. My son was into it. I'm a big Tom Petty fan and I remember the year he did the Super Bowl half time people complaining because it was old people music, even back them.

I switched over to Food Network and watched Beat Bobby Flay.

It was my lucky day because I got to see the lovely Leah Cohen as a judge twice. ♥
I switched back and forth till halftime I will say Bobby flay was more exciting. Couldn’t imagine being the guy that spent 6k to watch that garbage

I haven't cared for Tom Petty since the Damn the Torpedoes album. Somehow he changed, and I could never figure out how. All I knew was that I didn't care for his music anymore.

I’m still in my 30’s and agree the halftime show was terrible. A lot of people liked it and a lot of it had to do with his “beef” with Drake. Thought it was terrible and wasn’t very impressed with Brady as a commentator. I’m a huge Brady fan but I just think he was talking about himself and things they use to do a little much. Worst SB overall I’ve seen. I’m not a huge NFL fan more of college fan but the sad thing is that’s going to crap too now!
