Rookie needs help

I have access to a commercial side by side fridge. It has been used by the owner as a wood smoker but I want to turn it into an electric smoker. I have never done this before and am looking for some guidance. where do I get a burner, how do I get a burner run by a thermostat, etc...

Any help would be very appreciated. I am wanting to get everything figured out so I can start working on it within a month or two so it is ready for spring.

Hello.  Welcome.  I see this is your first post.  Please take some time and swing over to Roll Call and introduce yourself so that we may give you a proper "Hello".  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have.  As for your question:  Have a read through the fridge build forum.  All will be answered there.  Good luck.
